Here are a couple of Mitre Maker frame clamp variations on our standard frame clamps that I have found useful for gluing up deeper frames.
This cast clamp is double the height of our standard clamp and is cast from polyurethane resin. These new cast clamps are modelled from our ‘mini’ clamps and have a similar footprint and features including tabs for holding the frame off the work bench and a slot at the corner to allow you to check the alignment of the frame while gluing. These new clamps will become available in our shop following some more production testing.
If you can’t wait for the cast variety, files for 3d printable Frame clamps can be downloaded free and can be modified and printed to any height. They should be printed with high infill percentage to avoid crushing when applying pressure from the wedges.
